Your YMCA in Crouch End

We want to create homes where homeless experienced young people can thrive

We want to do better

for young people

We have long held an ambition to create homes in Crouch End that not only fulfils young people’s accommodation needs but offers them positive outcomes. Together we create opportunities to move out of poverty and the cycle of homelessness into employment, education and training, with enhanced life skills, self-confidence and dignity.

Homeless experienced young people deserve a better chance in life, and we know that an aspirational environment provides an ideal incubator. We have already seen this through our transformed site near Old Street, our new building there has set a benchmark in youth accommodation for London.

We believe it’s time to apply these lessons and make a similar impact for young people in and around Crouch End. We want to replace the aging building with new ensuite bedrooms in clusters of six around shared kitchens, with additional two-bedroom move-on apartments and shared social spaces alongside community meeting rooms and a raft of environmental enhancements.

This is a once in a generation opportunity that will shapes the lives of 13,000 homeless- experienced young people over the next 60 years.
